/As parents, particularly mothers, it can often feel like our needs come last, and we even willingly put ourselves in that position with the best of intentions. But consider for a moment if that is actually true…
What if it was actually your duty to put yourself first to set an example for your kids?
What if you really became a “better” - more compassionate, fun, and present - parent by attending to your own needs first?
What if you truly stepped into your power as a leader, teacher and mentor for your kids by giving yourself permission to be your most authentic and divine self?
How would that feel for you? What would that mean for your life? How would that impact your entire family?
Well, it’s 100% all true.
It is your duty as a human, especially as a mother, to step into your power and live from your heart and soul.
Pretty empowering stuff, right? But, how does a mom in the trenches of martyrdom make a shift like that?
If nothing else, do it FOR your kids!
I’d love to instill in you the desire to do this just for your own wellbeing, but that might take some time (more on that below!). So, for now, do it for your kids. Take care of you and your own needs just a little bit more so that you show up more calm, patient, and loving in your everyday interactions with your children.
